Description

Connect 4 is an abstract alignment board game on a matrix of six rows and seven columns.

The objective is to line up (horizontally, vertically or diagonally) a certain number (four in the basic game, and hence its name) of your own tokens; but the fundamental element of the game, which makes it completely original, is the force of gravity: the board is placed vertically between the players, and the pieces are made to fall along a vertical grid, in such a way that a piece inserted in a certain column always occupies the free position located lowest in the column itself.

The game is also known by the English names Connect 4, Vertical Tic-Tac-Toe, Gravitational Tic-Tac-Toe and 4-in-a-row.

Forza 4 is a "solved" game: this definition refers to all those games which have a sequence of pre-calculated moves which, if executed, inevitably lead to the victory of one of the competitors.

In Forza 4 the player who starts the game and makes all the "right" moves will inevitably win the match.
