Multisensor enclosure for mmWave presence detector
Print Profile(1)

Description
This enclosure is for a multi-sensor that is built using the ESPHome framework on the Home Assistant (HA) platform. If you are familiar with HA and ESPHome, then enough said. If not, there is a learning curve to climb to establish a Home Assistant environment.
The enclosure design isolates the sensors from the heat generated by the ESP32 processor and provides visibility to the state of the sensor via an LED shining through a translucent window in the enclosure.
The part should print nicely using any generic PLA filament. I used super glue to attach the translucent windows to the case.
The enclosure houses a mmWave radar device for presence detection, temperature, humidity and light level sensor. All the relevant indications and values are visible on the HA platform.
I've included a schematic and pictures for how the electronics fit in the case. The mmWave presence detector is in the main body while the light and temperature sensors are isolated in the smaller upper chamber. The light sensor is located adjacent to the translucent window in the smaller chamber. The two different lids make it possible to change which way the mmWave sensor is pointing by providing visibility to the LED indicator. The mmWave sensor is not affected by the plastic case.
A working yaml file is also included.
All electronic parts were bought on Amazon and I used a small multihole prototyping circuit board for the ESP32 and componentry.
On Amazon, search for ld2410c, MH-2561, AHT20, Keeyees ESP32S, NeoPixel LED and “Double Sided PCB Board Kit.”
Enjoy!
