OD45x3.5mm O Rings (5PCS) - RB006
NFC Tag Sticker (20PCS) - XD001

Description

This Outdoor Lamp can be hung on a backpack and used as a tabletop lamp. It includes a hidden compartment to securely store small items, with a dedicated spot for an NFC tag in a recessed area at the bottom of the container. The light cover perfectly houses a tea light inside, protecting it from the elements. The Outdoor Lamp can be made more waterproof by placing an O-ring around the closure. The base has a through-hole for threading a cord. For greater durability, I recommend printing the object in PETG on the Engineering Plate. The light cover needs supports in the central part of the dome.

PLEASE NOTICE that I 3D printed the object with a setting of 0.28mm layer height but my printing profile contains adaptive layer height for the screwing parts. I suggest to manually set a 0.16mm layer height or better for the screwing parts if you don't use my profile.

The Outdoor Lamp consists of a light cover where a tea light is placed and a hidden container. Using an O-ring around the closure and an NFC tag at the bottom of the container is recommended.

Here is a list of some NFC programs that you can add to your NFC sticker:

1. Emergency Location Sharing

  • App suggestion: Tasker (Android) or Apple Shortcuts (iOS)
  • Purpose: Tapping the NFC tag triggers automatic GPS location sharing via text or email to a designated contact, useful for hiking or camping in case of emergency.

2. Quick Access to Maps

  • App suggestion: Google Maps, Komoot, or AllTrails
  • Purpose: Program the tag to open a pre-downloaded offline map or a specific hiking route. This saves time when accessing navigation tools in remote areas without cellular data.

3. Weather Update Shortcut

  • App suggestion: NFC Tools (Android/iOS)
  • Purpose: Use the tag to trigger a quick weather update or open a weather app, giving you instant access to outdoor conditions to help plan your route or camping activities.

4. Checklist or Packing List

  • App suggestion: Google Keep, Evernote, or Apple Notes
  • Purpose: Tap the NFC tag to pull up a checklist, reminding you of essential items or steps (like setting up a tent or packing certain items), making sure nothing is left behind.
