UPDATE (2023-11-03)

  • Added 10mm to overall length (better ergonomics
  • Changed the front edge angle for a lower approach angle as I needed a lower angle sometimes. This will mean added supports (see image below)
  • Thumb indentation 1mm deeper and improved shape for better printing
  • rounded off back corners.
  • There are two versions. One with pockets for magnets (SCRAPERITE HANDLE_V2_MAG), one without (SCRAPERITE HANDLE_V2)

For magnets: I just used what I had on hand, which aren't very strong, but do the job. You can purchase it here: Aliexpress

Pause at layer 24 (if using 0.2mm layer height) or 2.6mm, insert magnets using double-sided tape then resume.

Supports: add to areas in green.

 

Iterative revision to both suit my aesthetic preferences as well as added a slight functional upgrade with the new grip texture on the sides.

Images show it printed with:

  • 0.2mm layer height
  • Need supports under square holes under the blade + chamfered front edge
  • eSun PLA+, matte
  • Used 4 layers for wall thickness
  • 15% Gyroid infill

The blades fit super tight as per the original model.

Created from STEP file for better resolution of curved features.
