Description

Update nov 12th 2024: Added optional handle with blade storage. Requires a 5x2 mm magnet.

A simple jigsaw blade (T shank) holder, primarily for carving pumpkins but should work for light woodworking as well. Heavily inspired by the blade holder made by RedManF150, but optimized for 3D-printing with the handle printed laying down for increased strength and more than a 50% cut in print time. No support or brim needed. I've printed it using Bambu PLA Basic (Black).

There are two versions, one slim and one with a slightly larger handle and a nut that doubles as hand guard (both nuts fits both handles).

Thats no fun, is it a T shank blade? Do you have a picture on the jig saw blade shank?

Also, which I just reliazed isn’t obvious, the blade should be rotated 90 degrees compared to your pictures!

Printed great using Bambu PLA matte. In contrast to several other models I found here, this design also accepts the Black&Decker type of saw blades (see pictures). I am missing a storage for the blade in the handle and also a hole to attach a string or hang it on a hook/nail would be also nice to have.

Glad you like it! There is a version with blade storage in the 3mf, requires a magnet! The storage solution makes it hard to make a hole though. But as I like a challenge I’ll try to fix it!

Fast and easy print. Had a little trouble with the thread but after using it 1-2 times it works like a charme. Thanks!

Unfortunately doesn't hold my Erauer blades enough to stop them from falling out :(

Don’t know what Erauer blades are. Are they T shank? Do you have a picture?

They are Erbauer Jigsaw Blades. Mine are like the ones in the picture but have a flat 't end' rather than pointed. It just didn't have enough grip. My small Black and Decker ones were gripped more but also came out. Bear in mind though that I was using it to cut a 5mm panel of compressed cardboard.

Okay. Thats too bad, and you put them in the right orientation (as in my pictures)? I’ve only used the handle for pumpkins, might be too weak for woodworking in some situations, sorry!
