Description

ShortStack weighs just .5oz (14g)* and is 0.14" (3.6mm)** thick fully assembled

No Snags! No sharp corners and no bulging elastic to get caught in a pocket.
No sewing! CA glue (superglue) secures elastic in place surprisingly well!
Put a logo on it! Right panel is a blank canvas!
What you'll need
- CA glue (superglue)
- recommend thick or gel type
- 3/4" (20mm) flat elastic band
- Length depends on elasticity and preference. ~4.6" (118mm) with my elastic and it is very tight on 4 cards.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: Not all elastic is the same! Some heavy-duty elastic measures 21mm x 1.1mm and due to designing the model to save every mm and gram I have created multiple models to account for the measured differences.
Print Settings
- Layer Height: 0.2mm
- Supports: recommended
- bridging may droop too low without support
- Orientation: face down recommended (see stl orientation)
- Face up is possible, though bridging that may cause the top surface to droop with so few layers. I suggest a dedicated support material w/ 0 top z distance to give the best surface finish.
- Materials: All
- CA glue (superglue) may not adhere well to some PETG
Assembly

- Taking the left panel, feed an end of elastic from the outside to inside. Pull just enough through to rest in the notch.
- Add a thick coat of CA glue to notch face. Fabric will absorb glue, gel/thick type CA glue helps it stay in place.
- Fold down elastic onto glue and apply pressure
- Take other end of elastic and feed it through the remaining opening, Make sure there are no tangles. Elastic loop should be on the outside side. See photo for reference
- Repeat step 2-3
- Flip the elastic to inside.
- Insert right wallet panel under elastic
*14g using standard model in ASA and with 20x0.9mm elastic. Heavy-duty elastic model in PLA measured 20g.
**3.6mm using standard model with 20x0.9mm elastic. Heavy-duty elastic model measured 4.5mm.
