This pen holder represents a hollow jet nozzle, commonly used by fire departments in Germany.

The pen holder comprises several parts requiring adhesive assembly. For a realistic finish, consider these colors (though any combination is possible):

  • Black → Bambulab PLA Matte Black
  • Red → Bambulab PLA Matt Dark Red
  • Silver → Bambulab PLA Basic Silver

I use the well-known UHU Hart Kunstoffkleber adhesive.

Supports:
Supports are recommended for the nozzle to facilitate insertion of the nozzle insert. However, this is more of a flourish as it's not visible during typical pen holder use.

All other parts are designed to require no supports.

Unfortunately, I am unable to save the .3mf file in a format that correctly handles supports. Therefore, manual support activation is necessary on print bed 4!

Assembly Instructions:

- The short mounting pins are glued into the sides of the housing body using two shallow “bores”. Then, attach the handle to the housing body. The pins facilitate easier placement and a more secure hold. (As in reality: those who do not want or need the handle can simply omit it.)

- Glue the longer mounting pins to the inside of the lever. Then, attach the lever to the corresponding holes on the housing body. The lever can still be moved as in the original. Those who prefer a fixed position can also glue this in place.

- The intermediate floor can be inserted or glued into the housing tube. The intermediate floor allows for variation of the internal height of the entire pen holder between 11cm and 16.5cm, depending on intended use.

Updates:

28.10.2024 - The housing body file has been adjusted due to a problem with the two holes for attaching the lever. Both holes are now of equal depth.

10.11.2024 - Model adjusted again due to persistent errors. Now reduced to three print beds.
