Description

Just in time for Halloween, I introduce to you the Skelly Board (also known as a Coffin Board). For the first time I was able to redeem a gift card to get a 0.2mm nozzle and the wonderful matte orange that Bambu had on sale. This is due to the massive support my prototype, longboard, and even the commercial fingerboard have received. Ironically, the refill matte orange did not fit my PLA-CF holder and even when I printed out an entirely new spool it was almost too wide. Anyway, there are several things to note about this board.

First off is that the holes are just wide enough to where you can use a little force and just push the screw in. This makes it easier to just connect the screw to the base.

The holes have a chamfer that allow you to have the screw flush with the board. Yes, there is also a square recess in the board. I did this on purpose to make it very easy to get the screws to have enough length. Tech Deck screws really only have 3mm of length and that's pushing it, so having a full millimeter of working room is a benefit in my book.

This is a fairly small print at 0.08 but it also does not take that long at roughly 45 minutes. Printing in the larger diameter often led to incomplete holes. Don't take it off the bed while it is hot as it is thin enough that it will bend. With all that, enjoy and Happy Halloween!

Overall, I am very happy with the outcome, and I hope you are too. If you'd like to support me, consider checking out one of my Kindle books on Amazon. I've got FDM and Resin books, but I also have books on random stuff like compasses, better habit building, and DSLR cameras.
