Description

I wanted a tool I could use repeatedly on a bunch of bikes. I also wanted to be able to drop it in from the top and put the stem/bars in place with one hand. I'm happy with the first iteration but may tweak it after some shop use.

Designed to print on it's side with no supports. An 8mm hex space runs the length of the tool to create inner walls and a place to drop a hex tool while working. (I did use tiny supports on the lip of that for a better finish, but wasn't necessary.)

Since the prototype I printed and pictured here, I have extended the top portion up. The head tube shown measures 90mm, and I designed this to work from there to about a 130mm dimension head tube.

I printed the main tool in high resolution PA6-CF which is overkill but was good for the practice. The nut is a lazy print at 0.28mm layers in plain PLA. The mixed materials had very tight fit which loosened a bit after running the nut several times and adding a little bike grease.
