I’ve created this 3D model for a mini LED flashlight using Maker’s Supply Ring LED component.
It’s a compact flashlight that turns on and switches modes with a press, thanks to a magnetic button that interacts with the LEDs.
Printing it is super easy and quick, and I recommend using PETG, especially for the base that holds the magnet. PETG ensures the spring retains its shape after multiple uses, whereas PLA might deform slightly over time, though it will still function.
Assembly is straightforward — just insert the magnet (a drop of glue can help secure it in place), then fit the LED component along with its battery. Make sure to align it properly, as it should click right into place. Finally, screw on the lid.
For added convenience, I suggest printing the cord end as well, so you can easily attach it to your backpack, slide in the cord ends and make a couple of knots, then screw the cover.
It’s incredibly useful, especially for walking at night on dark roads — just switch on the mini flashlight, and you’ll be sure to be seen. The different lighting modes could also be a lifesaver in emergency situations.
A small yet indispensable tool for travelers and night walkers alike.
Stay safe with the mini flashlight!
