Description

This bin from my collection of stackable Gridfinity battery holders. It holds 16 AA batteries. I also have versions for other batteries here.

These were modelled after the factory blister packs with finger access and other features added to improve access. The inside-bottom of each bin is labelled for faster identification of empty bins. The print profile contains plates with single color and two color versions.

The base is intended for the standard Gridfinity grid and can be be placed at any position or half-way position on the grid. When placed next to a second bin, the pair take up a 3x3 space. Where there half-width strip on one edge of the grid, such as from my Gridfinity interlocking baseplate generator, they work very well for utilizing that space.

I place my empty bins under a bin of a different color so I know when I am running low.

What coin cell holders are those? Do they stack?

it would be cool to have a stackable SD and mini SD card holders, I can't find any of them online. Also your design with the double color and the text is one of the best I found, you should create an entire set of gridfinity products all with the same design

I just printed out the C and 9V battery ones, would love a D battery in this style! or CR2032 button batteries! Also some higher capacity AA or AAA bins would be AMAZING. Costco batteries come in 48 packs, and buying more when we get to about ten left or so means we have up to 60 AA or AAA in our house at any one time! (and our battery drawer is not great for stackability..)

Thanks for the photos. They came out great. Thanks also for your support, it is also appreciated. I might make a.D bin this weekend, although it will be larger than all the other bins. For the AA/AAA bins, sounds like you are looking for something a bit taller/longer. For the current bins, you would need 4 AA and 2 AAA for your needs. I am not sure I could cleanly get them to double capacity without them taking up a similar amount of space. These are quite a bit of work to make so I will probably have to leave it.

Hi, a D cell bin is on the way. I am just waiting on a printer part to arrive from Bambu so I can do the final test print. Shipping is slow in my region at the moment - there seems to be a big backlog from the holidays.

Prints well and I like the overall design, all rechargeable batteries I accrued over the years fitted nicely (Duracell, Amazon basics). I did find when the bottom row is completely full, I found it a bit akward to get the very first battery out from that row - but only an issue on the first one you remove. Was the first time I printed something using 1/2 grid sizes, glad to say it all fit standard grid baseplates just fine.

Hi, for the bottom row, you might just need to turn the bin 180 degrees to use the finger slot at the other end. Even when I use my largest finger (thumb) in the slot, the batteries pop up with a small effort.

I usually prefer making my own models, but your design is absolutely spot on! The amount of thought that went into this is amazing. Really well done – I’m giving this a well-deserved Boost!

Really nice AA Gridfinity battery bins. I liked them so much in fact I printed 4 to hold an entire box of Kirkland AA’s and some surplus Amazon Basics. The 1.5 Gridfinity size makes it a perfect fit, just print them in pairs so you have an whole number of Gridfinity squares left. 10/10 from me!

I am LOL here, that is a lot of batteries. 4 bins and they are still coming out the top! Glad to hear it is working well for you and thank you for your support.
