Description

Light blockers for Xreal Air2 and Air2 Pro glasses. Helps to keep better immersion for watching content and reduce annoying glares and reflections.

Compatible with prescription lenses, as well as standalone. Added extra clip to keep them better in place (but it's quiet optional).

Not for commercial use!

cool concept but incredibly tedious to install. If you're trying to follow the install guide video and can't get it to work, try this instead for prescription lenses: 1) remove the shades/blockers from your xreal air 2 pro as they get in the way during install 2) assemble prescription lenses + nosepads as you normally would (rather than put lenses first over the light blockers) 3) carefully hook the lenses + nosepad around the blockers/cover 4) then insert into the glasses The clip didn't have a tight grip on everything (printed PETG with P1S) and just would fall apart as i tried to insert everything. Still gave you a boost because it's a really cool concept and i find light bleed to be annoying with my glasses. This makes a significant difference when gaming in a well lit space

Hi! Thank you for your feedback. Actually when you use this covers with prescription lenses, the clip is not really needed as everything should stay in place anyway. I was really thinking on another way how to keep it attached better for glasses and also keeping light weight and easy way to print but unfortunately I didn’t find any. I’m open for any suggestions so maybe I can make another iteration better than current!

Thanks for responding. Also while using there is some /slight/ bleeding around the edges depending on how you "tilt" your glasses while in use. I think one way to improve the setup is to actually bypass the mounting via prescription lenses entirely. Is there a reason you don't just make a "hood" design that shrouds or clips around the frames themselves? I assume this is because the current design is very "compact" so you can fit it in the case. That said, the fact you need to assemble/disassemble after every session is quite tedious :-) It might be better to pursue a different shroud design that is less compact but more "quick assemble / quick release" as I think some people may prefer that. You could also perhaps consider a design where the shroud attaches to the nose bridge(?) Thank you for your work on this!

Yeah actually I have two other designs for quicker attachment to the glasses, but it’s something I decided to sell as 3d printed product I didn’t share it here yet :)

I had these made in flexible TPU and they turned out great! Easily fit in the case. They don't need the clip if using with prescription lenses. Thank you for sharing🙂

The nosepad clips stabilise the blockers really well

For 75% nope. But you can sacrifice a bit of time and material to confirm that :) I'd be glad to hear feedback.

Wish there was an option to clip these without prescription lenses. The added clip doesn't work with the air2 pro cover. Still a great design though!
