Description

See my other models in the links below the description.

This mount fits the Trail Tech 742-A00 Tach/Hr meter to the Offgrid Aviation throttle. The mount registers with the strain relief indentations to prevent rotation and is held on by two small zip ties. The tach is held onto the mount by two small zip ties.

Pictured is on left hand throttle. Its kind of upside down when viewing, but in the air with a little twist of the head and its perfectly readable. Right throttle would be perfect but who does that?

I have another version that mounts the tach in the opposite orientation, but the cord from the tach exits towards your hand instead of towards the engine. This 2nd version is easier to read orientation, but the cord exiting the wrong way is annoying. The 2nd version does have a passage to route the cord through and help tame the mess though.

I also created a third version that has raised lip around the perimeter of the tach, but printing requires supports and after testing I found the lip to be unnecessary, so I never printed it.

Fits the throttle strain relief and the Trail Tech matches the backplate shape and the holes line up. I'll just have to see how I get on with the orientation as I also have the throttle in my left hand..

I also have left hand throttle. I know it seems like the tach is upside down, but with your hands on the toggles its actually in the easier to read orientation. If you want the orientation opposite , you just need to mirror the model before printing it.

Thank you. I'll see how I get on. I can try the other way round if needed. I've just modelled some threaded posts that go through the mounting holes from the back that allow you to use M3x12 bolts to mount the unit. If you would like I can send you the files?

Don't worry about the model. I actually had one of the prototypes with threads and I just didn't trust it, so I stuffed some little zip ties in instead. In hindsight, even it does fall off its not going anywhere , but those little screws would put a nice chunk in the prop if they come loose. Keep an eye on them.
