Description

I loved this kind of scratcher. I got one in Europe, many years ago, that was build with a long bristle brush. Worked so well I wanted to see if I could replicate it for this contest. Why waste time on a single spot when you can do large areas all at once.

You will need to print one of each handle and 4-6 of either the Medium or Extreme 9x5 fabric depending on the length you need. Each section is roughly 7”. I used 5 for my personal one.

I printed the parts with 3 walls and 15% infill. If your slicer has options for inclusion and exclusion, choose exclusion. that will make everything loose enough to move smoothly.

All parts fit a 220x220mm Build Plate.

They all snap together with a bit of force and won't come apart very easily.

Great print. I printed two pads at a time. A bit overbuilt and heavy, but that results in a nice, hefty feel. Ran out of black filament for the last three layers, replaced with white, which gives it kind of a cool frosted tips look.

only printed 2 of the extremefabric units upto now they print well and boy can they scratch 👍👍 you can fit 2 on one plate on the x1c .They take a bit of force to snap together but they then hold solidly ,so made up with them I had to rate and boost immediately. will update when completed

I would recommend making 5 of the sections. Gives a little more stretch when using it. Not such a tight reach. I am 6ft.

Five stars A truly exceptional design Unfortunately, it did not perform flawlessly with my printing materials, a shortcoming attributable more to material selection than the design itself I printed the extensive scratching surfaces using TPU, which proved excessively pliable to reliably satisfy the intended mounting criteria With PETG or PLA, it would likely have exhibited superior resilience, but with TPU, reinforcement via several stainless steel screws proved necessary I opted directly for Version 2, reasoning that adjustment with a heat gun and appropriate temperature calibration might constitute a more gentle method—and it functioned admirably, as the image attests My sincerest gratitude for providing such a magnificent design EDer Kamm is distinguished by its unique design The specially engineered knobs on the handle minimize unwanted wobbling, while the gently tapering triangular structure along the comb ensures maximum stability Every detail has been thoughtfully crafted to combine not only functionality but also aesthetics I wish you much enjoyment in printing—may it be flawlessly executed Five stars A truly magnificent design Unfortunately, it did not quite harmonize with my printing materials, but this is more likely due to the material choice than the design itself I printed the large scratching surfaces with TPU, which proved somewhat too soft to reliably meet the intended mounting requirements With PETG or PLA, it would certainly have held up better, but with TPU, I had to supplement with a few stainless steel screws I directly selected Version 2, as I surmised that adjustment with a heat gun and the correct temperature setting would be more gentle—and it worked wonderfully, as seen in the image Many heartfelt thanks for this fantastic design and for making it available Sincerely suhne

Great design, great scratcher! I printed 6 (4x extreme and 2 medium) fabrics but finally only used 5 of them. 4 at a time fit the H2D-buildplate. I printed everything in Bambu Lab PLA Tough+ blue and yellow on my H2D, turned out great. @DrSwaster: Would you mind to design a 15x5 fabric so they'd perfectly fit on the H2D build plate and one only needs to print 3 of them instead of 5?

Print was perfect though I need some help cause I'm on that smooth brain mode right now 🤦‍♂️. How do I make the opposite side handle connect to the female end of the length? The other side fit snuggly, but this won't fit in any of the female sides I printed - just the male sides. Edit - I'm an idiot! I had duplicated some stuff and just realized I can pick which handles. Great design and print!
