Miniature painting handle: "The Chuck V2"
Print Profile(10)

Description
The initial idea:
I liked the overall shape of the GW painting handle, but I did not like how it grips the model using a spring/elastics. So I set out to overcomplicate it by adding a chuck mechanism. I really like the mechanical grip the chuck offers, and now my miniatures do not get launched across the room anymore.
Re-design: Version 2!
Due to the amazing feedback, I decided to create a version 2. The main points of feedback were that the design with three chucks did not allow for holding square bases and that it would be desirable to weigh the holder down. Version 2 features a four-chuck design for square bases and a hollow handle that can be weighed down.
- Fits 20mm, 32mm, 40mm and 50 bases (And everything in between and slightly bigger)
- Grips the model tightly with three clamps using a chuck mechanism
- Only needs one M3 screw (max 20mm long)
- Holds square and round bases
- Can be weighed down
Assembly:
- Place the spiral on the handle
Slide the claws all the way into their slots in the top plate. Use the image below as refference where each claw should go

- Place the top plate onto the spiral. It takes some effort to find the correct orientation. You will know that you found the correct position if the top plate sits on top of the spiral, and the claws slot into the spiral grooves with their pegs.
- Screw the M3 screw into the center hole.
- Happy painting and praise the Emperor.
