Description

Raven for top of the Atiesh staff from Naxxramas in Classic World of Warcraft. The tail is glued to the bottom to complete the bird. I also lightly sanded the entire bird to give it a wood-like appearance, then did a light coat of brown paint and finished it with a gloss. Eyes are painted red.

You can purchase a long wooden dowel to attach the bird to and complete the basic staff. I recommend getting a dowel that is 1 inch wide and 48-72 inches tall depending on your height/preference. Perhaps bring the bird with you to the store to try him out on different dowels.

Here is an example dowel: https://www.menards.com/main/doors-windows-millwork/dowels-wooden-pins-plugs/madison-mill-round-poplar-dowels/436973/p-1444438759974-c-12188.htm

If you just want a raven to chill on your shelf, you can skip gluing on his tail and he'll sit flat.

did a minor adjustment to help the bottom of the main piece sit flat so the supports/bottom would print cleaner (the test print was much appreciated and using that caused me to notice the bottom of the model was uneven. I used a wood Bambu PLA, and played with the supports a bit, but he turned out great! can't wait to get Atiesh assembled from some raiding... to hobby lobby for the ribbon and beads lol. loving the model.

Removing the supports, especially from the beak, proved challenging After a PLA print with PETG interfaces, the restoration of Atiesh now awaits
