Description
I created a HueForge model for the X1C based on the European Space Agency Solar Orbiter. ESA - The Sun in high resolution
I used black matte, orange, yellow, and gold PLA. Took a little over 7 hours, but it certainly could be scaled down if needed.
Print at 100% infill with a layer height of 0.08mm with a base layer of 0.16mm
The Model is 200x199.21mm in size
You may print at higher layer heights below the Min Depth of 0.48mm
The Max Depth is 2.2mm and the Actual Depth is 2.2mm
Filaments Used:
PLA PolyLite Black Transmission Distance: 0.3
PLA+ Esun Orange Transmission Distance: 5
PLA+ Sunlu Pure Yellow Transmission Distance: 5
PLA PolyLite Pro Metallic Gold Transmission Distance: 2
This print uses 4 unique filaments
Swap Instructions:
Start with Black
At layer #9 (0.8mm) swap to Orange
At layer #15 (1.28mm) swap to Pure Yellow
At layer #21 (1.76mm) swap to Metallic Gold for the rest.
