Description

Frankenstein wall switch - double switch version with smaller switches than my other single switch version.

There are 2 types of gear covers - one with holes for pegs to connect the middle/inner gear covers together. You can print the regular gear covers without the holes and attach each switch separately if you prefer.

Make sure the v shaped gears are all facing the same way and that they match the rack assembly direction otherwise it won't engage properly.

Center the rack assembly over the switch hole and assemble with the handles pointing straight up. Verify proper operation prior to gluing in place.

Printed on P1P

Standard settings

0.4mm nozzle

0.2mm layer height

Gyroid infill

Thank you so much for making the double switch version - I've already started printing the parts. Looking at the plates, I don't see the handle linkage - the part that connects the handles to the gears. Am I misunderstanding, or are there a couple handle pieces missing?

Thank you for pointing that out! I have added a new 3mf file that includes the missing handle brackets. Alternately, you can download the brackets separately if you wish. Sorry for the mistake and thanks for letting me know!

I'm currently printing the first plate in white, planning on printing the gears & handle parts in silver next. I'll post pics & boost again once it's finished. Can't wait to see it on my wall!

Printed perfectly with Bambu Basic PLA (have white & silver). Supports on the handles was easy to remove. Went together fairly easily, take your time & make sure everything is lined up right.

Great idea but it’s literally impossible to get the handles right and the instructions are no help except for the fact that I need to glue it but I already assumed that. Also the screws won’t fit in so even if I did get it right I wouldn’t be able to put it on my wall or anything. One star. ⭐️❌❌❌❌ Edit: ok so I’d give this a four star rating now. five if the screws weren’t in the way but regardless it’s a really good print ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❌

The assembly was confusing. An assembly guide with pictures or a video would help a lot

ok, I don't know if I messed up somewhere but the plate has six holes for the gear covers. I believe it is supposed to have eight. Correct me if I am wrong

If you download the .3mf file the plate has 8 holes. Sorry

Hi there! I love your single switch, and the double looks great, but I just downloaded the files, and the base frame (the inner part) doesn't seem to be available for download anymore. Help!

Hello. I don't know what happened, but I uploaded the Base Plate A stl file that you need. Thanks for pointing that out to me. Strange that it wasn't there. Lots of people have downloaded the files and haven't mentioned that it wasn't there. Very strange. Pete

does it move? or does it stay in place?

i Guess both. The main base is stationary and the switch handle moves up and down to turn the light on or off.
