Description

JD Elegant Cube Stand

Form and design in a sturdy and practical utlity.

__________________________________________________________

  • Fits all 2x2x2, 3x3x3, 4x4x4 and upwards
  • Fits skewb, Sq-1, mirro cube and other cubic puzzles (in their solved state)
  • Sturdy base and arches: Tested with a metal cube (720g weight)
  • Can be printed in PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS etc. (but not TPU for obvious reasons)
  • The print profile features custom support and variable layer height

IMPORTANT FOR MARBLE, CARBON FIBER, GLITTER, WOOD:

The print profile features variable layer height, which most will find beneficial in terms of surface quality.

But if you use a filament with particles (marble, carbon fiber, wood), you MUST turn off variable layer height!

I love the unique design. Prints easily. Here's mine with my OG cube which is so slow I can't solve it (muscles only remember quickly)

Thanks and thanks for the boost! - Ah original Rubik’s…? Well, at least they’re very durable. You throw your expensive GAN against a wall, and the cube breaks. You throw a Rubik’s against a wall, and the wall breaks 😬

hehe. That is true. I just had another crack at solving it (and succeeded). The colors don't even match today's Cubes. The yellow side is next to white. Those were crazy times in the 80s.

Oh the original color scheme… the reason why it was changed, was due to white and yellow looking too similar when adjacent.

Thanks - and thanks for the boost! This looks like an older cube; no rounded centers for corner cutting…?

Oh cool - it can be adjusted… My old Rubik’s cannot be adjusted. I’ve lubed it so it went from very horrible to fairly horrible, and that’s the best I can get out of it. I’m happy to reach a sub-18 solve on it. I’m normally sub-16 for MO100.

Ohhh yeah - I have some transparent PETG which is dialed in perfectly for maximum transparency… I should give that try! Thanks for showing!

If you do I’d love to see it, this is my first print with transparent filament so I don’t know how it’s supposed to look
