Description

Velux charge around $45 for a hook on a telescopic pole. I have a telescopic pole from my paint roller which had a bodged up end I made (a bolt through the screw on splined wedge and much protective tape, nasty), now I have this nicer 3D printed one.

This is the 4th iteration of my model, it finally has sufficient strength and a good fit on the threaded attachment. I have added the STEP CAD file if you wish to remodel for a different fit.

The model it printed on its side so that any tugging to open the window is not pulling apart layers. Though on its side internal thread prints nicely without any supports.

Good design. I adapted it a little for a 22mm wooden handle and put 2 screws in.

I was able to cut out a V section in the hook to make two smaller prongs that worked for my use case of a pull down attic stairs.

Looks like it came out nicely. If that size pole is common, please add you print profile for others to use.

Easy to print Works wonderfully I would need to scale it up though to fit a broom handle

Thanks for the stars, it was the 4th version, making this strong enough taught me a lot.

Printed in PETG. I would add more infill as I was using to pull down a roof hatch locking bar.....but for blinds it should be fine.
