Description
Hello,
here are some fascinating facts about this magnificent model from Old Prague, located in the very heart of the city and perfectly capturing its charm.
The Lesser Town Bridge Towers are one of the most beautiful entrances to Charles Bridge and have their own story that brings to life the rich history of Prague. The first, lower tower dates back to the 12th century and was originally part of the Romanesque fortifications. When you look at it, you can see traces of medieval modifications and transformations that make it a unique example of Romanesque and Gothic architecture in one.
The second, taller tower was built later, in the 14th century, during the reign of Charles IV. Its Gothic features are typical of Prague buildings of this time - the pointed roof, elegant bay windows and richly decorated facades refer to the glory of old Prague. Looking upwards, the tower looks almost untouched by time, and its height gives you the feeling that it is touching the heavens themselves. Crossing Charles Bridge through these towers is like a journey into the past, when Prague was the centre of imperial power and the cultural life of Europe.
Now imagine that these two magnificent towers in front of you can be not only a historical jewel, but also a practical home decoration! This 3D model is a faithful replica of the two towers in their true glory. But what's more? Each of the towers is also an original money piggy bank. While you save up for your next trip or souvenir, these towers will remind you of the magical atmosphere of the Lesser Town and its historical charm.
