Description

When you want to fix a hard to close door, often you can shim things into position. These door shims are designed for 3.5" and 4" door hinges. They do not require the hinge screws to be completely removed, just loosened to fit the shim in place. Shims are 1mm thick, scale the Z axis to adjust the thickness to fit your needs (150% for 1.5mm shim, 200% for 2mm, etc.). Corners are radiused enough to fit basically any hinge with radii up to 5/8".

Thank you! This was exactly what i needed to fix the gap in my door, by the way a little goes a long way. I printed 2 for each hinge and only one was needed.

I'm glad they worked out for your door! Usually you'll just need to shim 1 hinge, or maybe 2 on a 3 hinge door. The only reason to shim both (or all 3) hinges is if you're trying to get rid of binding along the hinge side of the door to the door frame and you have enough gap to do it on the latch side of the door. Look around your place, you may find a couple other doors you can square up with your extra shims, and thanks for the feedback!

Simple design but happy to save time not having to model it myself. Prints fine. Only suggestion would be to have unlabeled versions as I dont think there is much benefit to the text when hinges are standard size and easily distinguishable once printed. If anything, it'd be more useful to have a few predefined thicknesses with labels.

⭐⭐⭐ Printed well and functional, but needed some adjustments to fit my door hinges. Works okay, but not perfect.

What adjustments did you have to make? I can add another version if the changes you made would be helpful to other people if you have a common style hinge that these don't fit.
