Summary

This is a pen that looks like a traditional Japanese Naginata (なぎなた) polearm (essentially a combination of a pole/staff and a sword). It has a somewhat hidden removable cap so that you can maintain the sleek polearm appearance until you need to remove the cap and write.

Assembly

All you have to do to assemble the pen is to remove the tip/ink from a Bic pen, and then insert it into the tip of the printed pen.  I tested this print with the Cristal Bic pen, so I know that works, however, other pens may work as well. If you wish to get the same pen that I used, here is an Amazon link:

Bambu Filaments used

  • Overture Silk Gold (Amazon link)
  • Silk+ Silver
  • Metal Iron Gray Black

If there are other weapons from any time in history that you'd like to see made into a pen, let me know in the comments :-)

Boost Me (for free)

If you enjoy my work and would like to help support my ability to share more (and even better) models in the future, please consider boosting or buying me a coffee at the link below.   Your support is what helps me have enough filament and supplies to do all the print testing required for my models to be high quality and easy to assemble.  It takes a mountain of test prints for each model. Thanks :-)

Here's a link to my Buy Me a Coffee page, thanks for the support!

Something related to the navy would be amazing. Maybe one of the main rounds used in the vertical launchers or a torpedo pen would also be fantastic! I am such a fan of your work I plan to keep boosting it until you run out of work for me to boost lol

I have printed several of these by now. Other than occasional issues with some pens not fitting snugly (easy fix), this is a cool print. I’m looking forward to playing with more different color combinations.
