Description

A simple Coin cleaning vise for coins from around 1,5cm to 4cm in size.

The clamps are elevated to allow better access to the coin, which is something I was missing with other models.

This model requires some additional non-printed parts:

3x M6x50 screw with HEX head

3x M6 nut

3x 6mm wide magnet

  • The clams are operated by three M6 (6mm width) screws of at least 5cm length (ideal).
  • There are holes from the bottom to place a regular M6 nut (1cm wide) that acts as an anchor for the movement. This is more sturdy than printing a thread directly.
  • Each of the three clamps has a hole deep enough for a 6mm wide magnet that helps to protect the plastic when the force is applied, but also to keep the clamp “connected” to the screw. This way it stays in place.

Magnets and the printed screw head are held in place using standard superglue.

This is a first version, very quick model. I will update it later on once I properly try it out, so far works like charm :)

I plan to focus on the "treasure Hunter" tools and such. Be sure to stop by for other models!
