Due to the recent addition of a new member to our household, I urgently needed to purify the air. I therefore designed an air purifier based on the appearance of the Xiaomi air purifier and according to the existing brushless motor.
1. The motor uses a brushless motor similar to Xiaomi's (with different shaft diameters). Currently, there are many similar brushless motors from Nidec on the market. Different motors have different voltages. Pay attention to the voltage selection of the power supply. The brushless motor I used has the following parameters: 12V power supply, the mounting hole diameter and shaft diameter are the same, and the shaft length should be equal to or less than the size shown in the figure. There is a simple model in the file that can be used to test whether the holes correspond. The screws use three M3*8 screws.
2. As the control board that came with my motor was damaged, I needed to connect the three phases (U.V.W) of the motor separately and connect them directly to the following control board.
3. You will need a rocker switch, DC connector and Xiaomi air purifier filter.
4. The maximum size of the fan blades is 8 inches.
Installation Precautions:
1. You will need to use a soldering iron to connect the wires. Please be careful when using electrical equipment.
2. The controller shown in number 2, I fixed it to the bracket first and then printed it, then aligned it with the holes and used 502 glue to fix it to the shell. If you use a different controller, you can provide a simple drawing and contact me to model it (considering that different controllers can be used, I use 502 glue to fix it, the strength is sufficient).
3. The four foot pads are fixed with 502 glue for convenience and speed.
4. If you already have a similar motor of another model and don't want to buy it again, you can contact me to change the model.
