Halloween Shadow Casting Tea Light & Clock Mechanism Display with Customizable Add-Ons

Add a spooky and magical touch to your Halloween decor with this 3D-printed shadow-casting display! Designed for use with an LED tea light or small candle, this model features a clock mechanism that creates moving shadows of a witch, cloud, and moon across your wall, perfect for setting a haunting atmosphere.

Features:

• Customizable Printing: Printed in PLA filament, this Halloween display allows users to choose any color to match their spooky setup.
• Moving Shadows: Attach the witch to the second hand, the cloud to the minute hand, and the moon to the hour hand. The clock mechanism brings these elements to life, creating a mesmerizing shadow show.
• Tea Light Holder Options: Includes a short arm for votive candles and a tall arm for tea lights, giving you flexibility in lighting choices.
• Smooth Movement with Quartz Clock Kit: For even smoother, eerier shadow movement, users can opt for a quartz clock kit.

Optional Halloween Add-Ons:

• Plate 3: Includes a tea light adapter for smaller LEDs, a light deflector to reduce glare, and two angled tea light adapters (67 degrees and 90 degrees) for better light direction.
• Plate 4: Offers alternate Halloween-themed elements, including two alternate clouds, two moons, and a different witch and ghost figure for customization.
• Plate 5: Features a scene of two spooky trees with tombstones, adding even more dimension and depth to your shadow-casting display.

Designer Notes:

• Design Idea: I like seeing candles casting shadows in the evenings. I wanted to see if there was a way to add more motion to those shadows. I decided to try and integrate a clock kit to help. I hope you enjoy this idea!
• Assembly: Super glue is recommended to attach the 3D-printed arms to the metal clock hands (from a standard clock kit). Be sure to cut the metal hands to the correct length.
• Second Hand: To help with weight on the second hand, the witch is 0.5mm thick—let the printing plate fully cool before removing it. The witch has a small square base for a secure fit.
• Parts: I used a high-torque kit from a local craft store. While that may not be required, I have not tried a standard kit. I also used a larger 4.5-inch clock hands kit. As noted above, a quartz movement kit would give smoother motion.
