Description
Three 3D-printed parts: USB cover + regulator housing and its lid
Printed in black ASA at 0.16 High Quality with a 0.4mm nozzle
Required materials:
2x1.5mm² wire
Soldering iron
A female USB-A connector
An LM2596 voltage regulator
A small flat-head screwdriver (for adjusting the regulator/opening the cigarette lighter connector)
Adhesive (possibly super glue)
1- Adjust the LM2596 regulator output with a voltmeter to 5.39 volts to obtain 5.05 volts when the device is connected
2- Once the correct value is achieved, secure the variable resistor with a dab of glue
3- Integrate the USB-A and Type-C connectors into the printed holder before soldering
4- Solder the USB-A and Type-C ports to the regulator output
5- Remove the original cover and integrate the USB cover into the designated space next to the original cigarette lighter
6- Solder the regulator input to the cigarette lighter socket
-> + to the yellow wire
-> - to the black wire
