Summary

This is a 1:50 scale model of the legendary Mark IV tank produced by the allies in WWI. The Mark (I, IV) series of tanks were the very first tanks ever in history to reach a battlefield. The Mk IV was the very first tank to ever reach full scale production and arrived on the front in WWI by 1917. It was designed in Great Britain and many of its parts were produced in the United States. The Mk IV tank served through WWI on the side of the allies and represented a seismic shift in warfare.

The model snaps together for easy assembly – no glue is required. I've designed this model to have minimal color changes for efficient use of filament.

(*) In the title I didn't have room to say all this, but the Mk IV was the world's first tank to be mass produced.  The first tank to see combat was the Mk 1 (which was essentially the prototype predecessor of the Mk IV).  But for all intents and purposes, the Mk series of tanks were the first in the world to be used in combat.

Bambu Labs filaments used are:

  • Matte Dark Green for the body (can be replaced with Matte Dark Brown which is also a realistic color)
  • Metal Copper for the reads (can be replaced with a black filament)
  • Matte White and Matte Red for Body stripes and text
  • Metal Black for Lewis Guns
  • Matte Dark Brown for the stand
  • Metal Black for the sign with Matte White for the lettering

The assembly is quite simple, but here's some instructions and visuals to help you put it together:

Boost Me (for free)

If you enjoy my work and would like to help support my ability to share more (and even better) models in the future, please consider boosting or buying me a coffee at the link below.   Your support is what helps me have enough filament and supplies to do all the print testing required for my models to be high quality and easy to assemble.  It takes a mountain of test prints for each model. Thanks :-)

Here's a link to my Buy Me a Coffee page, thanks for the support!
