Are you like me and find yourself fighting with HSW inserts whenever you want to reorganize?  I finally decided to do something to make it easy.  Here is an easy to install and remove insert for the honeycomb storage wall. Just place the insert in the opening and use the provided tool to twist the insert until its aligned.  I'm now including a profile for an allen wrench style tool that I prefer to use.   Check out my other EZ-Lock models:  https://makerworld.com/en/collections/2905373

The inserts are a little loose fit on your P1S wall. Make sure and clean up the support connection site for the holder, the tool fits perfect afterwards. Does make for EASY layout changes!

Can I ask if you printed with PLA? I've discovered the inserts and panels can wear after a few uses and get looser with PLA. I've switch to using PETG and have seen an improvement.

I did print with PLA, they were loose for first insert. It’s not anything major, I’m using them on the P1S wall and don’t plan on changung much once setup

OK, thanks. I know they were a good fit when I firstbstartedbusing them. I'll probably print a couple of PLA myself to see what results I get now.

First, the EZ-Lock system makes the HSW system usable to me. AWESOME. My question is that every accessory that I have found that can use EZ-Lock has the EZ-Lock insert attached to it so I don't see the need for the inserts alone. I'm sure I'm missing something. I see that the all in one file has an insert to store the Allan T-Handle. I'm hoping I can find more things to insert into the hex receiver as indicated in the picture.

There are a bunch of other peoples models published that mount inside the smaller hex. Here's an example: https://makerworld.com/en/models/824815-cable-holder-for-honeycomb-storage-wall?from=search#profileId-768417

EZ-Lock Mounting Hole Insert and Cap
Honestly been stalling putting a big HSW wall up due to the impossible to remove inserts. These are so much better. Tighter ones worked better for me.

These are nice! I added a small ridge to the tool to prevent it from going too deep into the inserts. Can't post it due to the license, but it works well. I'd recommend adding this to the tool.

The ridge is a good idea. I already have something like that on the Allen wrench style tool. Check out that profile.

Ah yes. After I added the ridge to mine I realized I should have instead made the insert end just a touch smaller instead. I didn't see that you had a snug version until now, glad to see that's there, printing a few now to test with. Thanks again!

I've remixed your design along witha tilt storage box (elongating the shaft of the insert to clear the wall of the box to secure it directly to the panel). Can I have your permission to post the elongated inserts and tools so others can enjoy it too? I'm requesting permission for reposting of the box from it's designer as well.

In case you're against a repost by others, can I send you the modified design so you can post it? I just want to get it into the community. :)

When the standard inserts fell out because of the weight they were bearing, I tried these and they work great. Standard ones printed in PETG worked for me. Thanks!

I don’t often use HSW prints that require these inserts but when I do, I very much like these twist in types. they work very well.

Literally sold to this EZ-Out system for the HSW. I will only print those, and I'm glad I just started ah HSW. I will modify my prints to incorporate into or with this system. The box inner insertion is just brilliant.

Brilliant ! Fits very well. The Plug Tool Holder is a bbit to loose but I guess I took the "loose" version. I cannot find the other one. Anyway big thanks. It offers plenty of easier possibilities.

Thanks! Ive now added a profile for an allen wrench style tool and holder that I've been including with some other models. I like it better than the original tool that I started with here.
