The Fujian (hull number 18) is China's first domestically designed and built catapult aircraft carrier, featuring a flat-deck flight deck and equipped with electromagnetic catapult and arresting gear

It is 320 meters long, 78 meters wide, has a full-load displacement of over 80,000 tons, uses conventional power, and is expected to be equipped with J-15, J-35, KJ-600, Attack-11, and other aircraft

Fujian aircraft carrier waterline model, the model is 16cm long, approximately 1:2000 scale

Modeled and drawn based on publicly available website images, not an exact model

The model is very small, and due to printer accuracy limitations, many details are generalized, but it looks pretty good after printing, haha

There are 3 holes at the bottom of the model for installing 4x2 magnets, making it great as a refrigerator magnet

There are two versions: 4-color and single-color. The 4 colors are light gray, gray, red, and yellow. I only have one AMS, so I couldn't use more colors

I printed it with PETG, and I believe printing with PLA will yield better results than mine

2024.11.19 Significant Update: Fujian Remastered Version

Originally, I wanted to make a hull bottom for the Fujian, but the lower part of the hull I made before was imagined from watching the Fujian's sea trial videos, and the shape was not rigorous, so I couldn't make the hull bottom. Therefore, I collected information online again and remade it

This time, the Fujian's hull, deck, and island models are more accurate, all lines have been resized to be more conducive to printing, and the carrier-based aircraft have also been re-adjusted

I have provided a multi-color print profile containing two Fujian aircraft carriers in different states, you can choose the one you like to print

Of course, the single-color version files are also available

The connection between the hull bottom and the hull still uses three 4x2 magnets, requiring a total of 6. Of course, you can also use glue instead of magnets 😁😁

At the same time, I apologize that this hull bottom is not compatible with the previous version's hull

For this version, I spent a lot of time on details, such as railings for the catwalks, with their shapes and directions matched to the actual ship. The weapon system's modeling has also been refined, as well as the anchor, hangar openings, and island hatches. Unfortunately, at this scale, the print can only be admired from a distance and not closely inspected, haha

With this level of detail, using a 0.2 nozzle should yield good results, and if printed larger, it will have even more details than the previous version

This version has many details on the ship's side, please be careful when removing supports

And this time, I tried to create an adjustable profile, placing both the lowered and raised states of the jet blast deflector, and the ascended and descended states of the aircraft elevator into the profile. You can download this 3mf file, adjust it as you wish in the slicer software, then delete any unnecessary parts, combine all remaining parts, and then slice it. Of course, the carrier-based aircraft can also be adjusted. This method might be a bit clumsy, but those interested can try to customize their most satisfying Fujian

2024.10.11

Fujian V2 Version

The jet blast deflectors are raised on the deck, markings for the ammunition elevators have been added, as well as arresting wires (unfortunately too small to see clearly, you can color them with a marker)

The main update is the addition of carrier-based aircraft: J-15, J-35, KJ-600, Z-20 naval helicopter. The 1:2000 scale aircraft are too small. I initially wanted to add some details, but then realized they couldn't be printed, so in the end, they all have just a basic shape, which looks okay from a distance 😁😁😁

Because the aircraft are too small, I used Bambu Lab's 0.12 layer height high-quality printing mode. The printing speed is slightly slower to ensure basic printing results

After importing the profile into the slicer software, you can add, delete, and move carrier-based aircraft models to customize your own unique Fujian

I discovered today that it also looks very cool as a car decoration 😁😁😁

2024.10.5

The deck lines have been slightly widened, making the printed effect more visible
