Cute model, looks nice. Joint between the base and the sign worked perfectly with a snug fit. Only problem is that the different colored sections go all the way from the top surface to the build plate, resulting in wasted filament and a weak joint between the green and black that broke when I bent the build plate, (fixed with glue.) Might be better to have the "image" only on the bottom 3-4 layers and let the rest be the post color. Don't need to see the back of the sign with reversed text.
Printed face down on cool plate and was very pleased. Only blemishes were from the plate not being clean enough, my fault, I’ll probably print another one larger, but might end up adjusting the layer height on the base peice to try and smooth it out as well.
Great print!
Having the colors run all the way through the model resulted in a very long print with lots of wasted filament, and a very weak joint between green and black that broke when I bent the print plate to unstick the print. it would be better to have just the top 3-4 layers multicolor, and the rest black.
Thank you guys for pointing out valued tips in my design.
I have now added a remix upload where both the dept of colour changes and strenght are fixed.
Almost halved the filament changes needed following your tips, and weak spot is no longer an issue.
