Released

Description

Perfect for holding thick cables like sound and guitar cables, heavy ropes, extension cords, etc…

With a hole for hanging.

Heavy duty and reliable, does not release without pressing the lever.

The clip is adjustable to different thickness of cables. But if not enough to your needs, there is also a smaller and a larger version included.

Instructions:

  1. Print in the orientation the files are imported (picture below for reference).
  2. After printing, fully press the release lever slowly once to break the tiny built in print support on top of the lever (inside the case). No need to remove anything left of the support, it won't affect the mechanism.
  3. Clip the two hinges together to assemble.
    That's all!
Correct printing orientation - no supports needed.

Extra info:

  • Works in both PLA and PETG, but PETG is stronger and makes more satisfying clicks when using.
Make sure your PETG is dry before printing!
  • If you get spaghetti while printing, try printing each part separately (or use the print profile “print_by_object”).
  • Some types of brittle PLA did not print well, but printed fine in BambuPLA and even some old cheap silk PLA I had lying around.
Generic PETG printed fine, but make sure it is dry!
  • All testing was done in prints made with a 0.4 nozzle, but I made the design so the thinnest parts were separated by at least 0.6 mm so it should print well in 0.6 nozzles. Let me know if it works in the comments if you try.

------------------------------------------------

I designed, printed and tested more than 50 prototypes until arriving at this design.

Took me a lot of time and I'm sharing it free for everyone to use, enjoy, and even sell.
