Description

UPDATE: I have been experimenting with various glow filaments, and found that while Bambu's glow filament is “not compatible with AMS Lite,” some older glow filament I had is. I had been using all kinds of glow filament before the last couple of firmware changes, but now, curiously, matte-surface glow filament gives the AMS Lite fits, glossy surface filament does just fine. So, test, test and test some more.

I originally made this model to be lit up with wireless LEDs. Problem was, the induction coil that runs the LEDs just wasn't strong enough to do much good, so I replaced the holes for the LEDs with spheres, intending to print them in glow filament. Both of my A1s absolutely loathe glow filament, no matter what I do, so … I just printed them with white PLA and I'll paint glow paint on them later. It's kind of a cool thing no matter how you print it. I'd love to see what you make of it

This came out very nicely, I was able to get white/green glow to work for the dots, but did have 5 occurrences of failure to feed filament, retry button worked each time but did extend print time (clearly my fault.) Anyway, thanks for the great model and print profile!

Curiously, I did manage to print with glow filament; I needed to use glossy filament, rather than matte, but it worked without the constant stopping. What brand of filament did you use?

This one was DO3D glow, it has a very textured feel, very high friction compared to most of my filaments, almost like a fine sand paper.

Running a different print today with the same type of glow and multicolor, but this time with glow in slot 2 and so far 54 layers of color changes with no feed issues. When I ran this job I had the glow in slot 3 which has definitely given me issues in the past. Something to think about.

turned out absolutely gorgeous! this is one of my first few prints with my first printer, and this specifically has been the longest one. the wait is worth it, and the glow in the dark spheres printed just fine :)
