Description

This filament splicing jig is a tool that simplifies joining filament ends. Use a soldering iron tip to melt the filament ends, then push them together for a perfectly aligned joint. Clean up the connection effortlessly with a file, razor blade, or utility knife. Streamline your filament splicing process with ease.

 

I modified the original model by https://www.printables.com/@LoboCNC and added holes for 3x6mm magnets, so it snaps together effortless.

Printed in PETG to slice PETG and PLA filament. Have look at the video tutorial below and straigthen the filament ends befor inserting into the tool.

Printed with Bambu Lab Asa (for safety due to temperatures) The print turned out well and I like the straightforward, no-frills design - simple and practical The four magnets I inserted using a wooden dowel and a hammer - ultra tight fit Thank you for this useful model, I am very satisfied

With a little practice, it works. I tested it beforehand with short pieces of filament, pulling on the connection until I was satisfied. However, my 6x3 magnets only found their way into the holes with the help of a torch.
