Description

Plastic connector for the eovacs deeobot t9+ dock charger. I don't know which vacuums uses which docks, so might be suitable for other vacuums or docks as well.

Instructions

  • Remove the existing plastic (might need to carefully use a cutter to get it all off)
    • Be careful as the cable is also barely attached - one of them fell off for me and I had to solder it back on
  • Thread the cord through the new connector and push it in
    • It's a pretty tight fit so that it will stay on, and you have to press pretty hard. Might also depend on your printer, but you can always just make the hole slightly bigger if needed.
  • Test that it works and charges etc
  • Lastly, you might want to put a drop of glue between the metal and the plastic to ensure it stays firmly in place

Backstory
Vacuum stopped charging, which is when I noticed one of these plastic connectors had broken. And when having a closer look at the other one, very gently, it just crumbled in my hand. Clearly a design flaw as we have only had it set up for less than a year (but we are out of warrantly period). I assume it fail for everyone sooner or later.

Ecovacs refused to help and supposedly do not have the part either. Despite sending photos of the broken clip, I was asked to pay for shipping the whole unit + return shipping + time for a technician to investigate the issue. Then after laying those 3 things, I would also have to pay for whatever the fix is. All I wanted was for them to send me this 1cent plastic clip. Don't support this company. I'm just worried how many other essential pieces of functionality that is held up with a 1mm non-replaceable piece of plastic.

Thank you! Thank you! This is a much better replacement, has plenty of room for the pre-soldered pads to slot in and will last a lot longer than the flimsy built-in-obsolesence clip from EcoVacs. This is my first home repair with our new printer and I am so thankful you took the time to think about the design, improve it and upload for the rest of us. You will be the first print that I Boost, you deserve it! 👍

Hi! I'm chasing a couple of these connectors for my T9+ Deebot. Is it possible for me to pay you to 3D print a couple and post them to me (to Sunshine Coast, Qld)?

Is there also a kind of roof here? When my cat was still a kitten, she liked to ride with the vacuum cleaner... but now the fat thing sits on it while charging, so it keeps driving off and forgets where it belongs... I think it's annoying to have to drive it in every month
