Description

A recreation of the Leviathan Axe from God of War, but in the style seen in Astro Bot!

Tips:

  • Tolerances are tight on this, so run calibration before you start to make sure you're as tuned as you can be.
  • Glue on the build plate is highly recommended. These are large, flat parts, which in 3D printing means prone to warping. Surfaces facing the build plate also make the seams of many of these parts, so any warping whatsoever will be VERY noticeable. I used Bed Weld, but I'm sure there are plenty of other great glues out there.
  • While tolerances are tight on most parts, there's still the need for glue during assembly. Especially on parts where they connect along a seam, since the connector parts will naturally try and work that seam apart.
  • There are symbols embedded in the pieces to help you assemble them in the correct direction. Small triangles on opposite parts should match up. On the central gray part, there's a large circle and a small circle to indicate which of the two axe halves go there.
