Filament and Printing Settings

Filament

PLA, due to its properties and versatility, is the preferred material for printing the NautiNap napkin ring. As a biodegradable and environmentally friendly material, PLA is an excellent choice for home users, offering easy handling during printing. The variety of available PLA filaments makes the NautiNap a true playground for creatives.

• Wide Color Selection: PLA filaments are available in an impressive range of colors. From classic shades to vibrant and striking colors, PLA offers a broad spectrum to meet every design imagination.

Slicer Printing Settings

The following printing settings are intended for a 0.4 mm nozzle:

• Wall Generator: preferably Arachne
• Walls: 3
• Bottom Layers: 5
• Top Layers: 5
• Infill: 15%
• Ensure Vertical Shell Thickness: On

These settings can be easily found and adjusted in most common slicing programs such as Cura, PrusaSlicer, or BambuStudio/OrcaSlicer. They ensure a robust structure.

Additional Notes

Depending on the chosen material, it may be necessary to print a brim. This helps to improve the adhesion of the parts to the build plate and to prevent warping.

The USDZ format allows you to view the 3D model in augmented reality (AR). Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad and Mac support USDZ files natively, so the file can be opened and viewed directly in Safari, Mail, Messages or the Files app – no additional app is required. Users of other operating systems (e.g. Android or Windows) need a dedicated USDZ viewer or compatible 3D software, such as Adobe Aero or Blender (with USDZ plugin), to view the file.
