D3x1 mm Round Magnet (20PCS) - CA014

  • 3x1.5mm magnets x 4: 3x1.5mm magnets (e.g.: https://a.aliexpress.com/_m01PghQ)

Description

Featuring the myth of Atlas, holding a pickleball instead of the earth - demonstrating the weight of being the greatest. Swappable name plates to re-use the trophy each time you play!

Supports come off easily!

Magnets are used to make the names swappable. I used these: 3x1.5mm magnets (e.g.: https://a.aliexpress.com/_m01PghQ)
But… you can probably also use little pegs or double sided tape. Upload forced me to also propose 3x1mm that bambu provides, I imagine those could work too with a little glue.

This is a remix based on several models. Changes include resizing, combining, and removing various parts, and cutting out/adjusting nameplates - for additional details, please visit these links:

Citadel Paint - Base: Retributor Armour (gold) I think Base: Leadbelcher (silverl/gray) for the base section and Shade, Agrax earthshade (wash) over the whole thing

It got very messy. I wish it was much better and the stables shook inside the ball

Nice print and turned out well. Long print time as I used Bambu Silk Gold 13401 and your silk print profile, but I knew I wanted a very good print quality. Some areas printed "rough" but I am sure it is my lack of experience with 3d printing and/or maybe heat/cooling related with my enclosed P1S. Either way, this still will be fun to give to my friends. Great job and have fun!

Thanks - that looks beautiful. I think that it might use a bit more supports at the bottom of the sphere. PLA Silk is particularly sensitive though. I can't really tell - is any other part rough?

I am sure it is more settings with my printer than your model, so I don't fault your design for being "rough". It seems I have an issue with the top of spheres with not being completely smooth and I don't know what adjustments I need to do. I don't have a photo of this problem yet, but maybe I can send it to you to get some help later.

You might be describing an inherent problem in 3D printing a sphere. Since it is round, there will be "steps" between the layers. This problem can be minimized but not eliminated (without post processing). If what I'm describing sounds correct, the steps you can take are to either play with the adaptive layer height setting described here: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/software/bambu-studio/adaptive-layer-height. Otherwise, you can also print the whole model with the thinnest layer possible.
