Description

The Bosch PBD40 is a great drill for a hobbyist workshop. But I found that there just wasn't enough throat depth (distance between the drill bit and the stand). I designed this adapter to allow the workpiece to slide further under the drill - expanding the useful throat depth from about 110mm to roughly 160mm!

The adapter features holes for M5 bolts - allowing you to lock the adapter in place and micro-adjust the angle of the drill to account for any flex or difference in tolerance. I have only tested this in PLA-CF but you should be able to get it plumb.

WARNING!
This adapter is only intended for temporary use. It should not be a permanent fixture on your drill. I highly recommend using the associated print profile (it is a bit ugly, but is optimised for strength). Long term use may lead to bending/cracking/breakage during use, especially with non-engineering grade filaments like PLA.
