Ice Cream Scoop

A clean, simple design for scooping perfect orbs of ice cream. It prints nicely on-end (as provided), but you may want to add a brim.

The first thing people wonder about is food safety. I printed this in PLA, which is generally considered food safe, modulo dyes and other additives. There is also the issue of bacteria growing in the nooks and crannies of the print. For me (who still chews on the ends of random ballpoint pens), I feel OK with the safety risks and figure a good washing with warm soapy water (and thoroughly drying) is good enough for me. If you have a higher level of risk aversion, you might be better off just buying an ice cream scoop – because there are never toxicity or safety issues with store-bought products;)
