Description
Removeable AMS adapter insert for use with filament spools with an OD between 180 and 195mm that can create issues with filament feeding (filament crossing tangles, filament not reaching extruder) and rewinding issues when filament is pulled back due to the smaller spool diameter causing contact with the lower housing thus added friction and reduced contact with the motorized feeding rollers.
Most small spool adapters extend to the front and significantly lift the spools which in turn can impede the closing of the main cover. This design still allows the cover to be closed with spools within the 180 to 195mm OD range ( Sunlu, Kingroon, Luktec, Xingtongzhilian,…etc.) while keeping the distance between the motor driven roller and the idler roller as far apart as possible to minimize spool hopping during filament rewinding by the AMS.
