Description
Motorized Ames window. For some it looks like the window is spinning in fuller circles, and for most people it looks like it is doing half circles, and going the other way. If a 3d object is placed on the small end of the window then it looks like is is phasing through.
To see it best stand five feet away with you eyes level with the window. Then close one eye, and focus on a end.
Adding a clip on the end amplifies the effect.
assembly.
- put the motor in the motor casing through the bottom
- get the bottom lid and four screws. put the lid over the bottom of the motor and align the holes, then screw in the bolts. don't over tighten.
- take the big gear, and put the rod sticking out of it into the big hole on the side of the motor mount. screw a nut onto the bottom of the big gear when it is in.
- put he small gear onto he motor shaft.
put the window into the hole in the top of the big gear. as shown

- optional. alighn the support holes with the two other holes on the mount. then put two bolts to secure it.
