Description

This is an “infinitely” extendable fidget. You will need one big gear, one small gear, and as many compound gears as you want.

Please note that if you're trying to spin it fast, you'll want to hold it such that the slowest-turning gears are at the bottom. Then, grab the gearset by the base next to the gear you're spinning.

For some reason, I've found that it's very difficult to spin the gears quickly unless you're holding it precisely this way. Check the cover GIF for an example.

Also, if you need the shafts to be longer, you can scale them on the Z-axis to the desired length.

So much fun! It’s so cool how gear ratios work like that! I added an extra gear and it spins even faster. Excellent model!

Fun design, prints well. Bit hard to hold and use initially, easier when I put in a box to help hold together

I like the design, but it could really use an assembly guide. I understand that it is a simple design, but I could not figure out how to put it together. Thank you.

Print two shafts, two endplates, one small gear, one big gear, and as many of the stackable gear as you want. Put the small gear on one shaft, and then put a compound gear on the shaft next to it, so that the larger of the compound gears meshes with the small solo gear. From there, add as many stackers as you want, and then finish with the large gear :)
