How to Play Ultimate Tic Tac Toe

Objective: The goal of Ultimate Tic Tac Toe is to be the first player to get three of your markers in a row, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, across any of the three levels of the board.

Game Setup:

  1. Board Layout: The game consists of a 3D board with three levels, each containing a 3x3 grid.
  2. Markers: Players choose their markers (X or O) and take turns placing them on the board.

Gameplay:

  1. Starting the Game:
    • Decide who goes first. Players can flip a coin or choose any method they prefer.
  2. Taking Turns:
    • On your turn, you place your marker (X or O) on any empty cell of the 3D board.
    • The twist: the position where you place your marker determines where your opponent can place their next marker.
  3. Determining the Next Move:
    • The cell you choose in the current grid corresponds to the level (or grid) where your opponent must play next.
      • For example, if you place your marker in the top left corner (0,0) of the current grid, your opponent must play in the top left grid of the next level.
  4. Winning the Game:
    • A player wins by placing three of their markers in a row, whether across a single level or spanning multiple levels.
    • The game can also end in a draw if all spaces are filled without a winner.

Strategies:

  • Pay attention to potential moves that could allow your opponent to win.
  • Try to control the centre of the grids, as it offers more opportunities for winning combinations.
  • Block your opponent when they are close to winning.

End of Game:

  • The game ends when one player successfully connects three markers in a row or when all cells are filled with no winner, resulting in a draw.

Enjoy the Game! Ultimate Tic Tac Toe adds a strategic twist to the classic game, offering layers of fun and challenge for players of all ages. Happy playing!

I concur that altering the infill pattern to gyroid is advisable, as the grid pattern resulted in gaps between the smaller squares, necessitating post-processing to remove imperfections and occasional print interruptions. Ultimately, the outcome proved successful. I designed a custom-fit lid to secure the components, however, it did not accommodate all pieces (the blue ones in the image were excluded). I will need to adjust its dimensions.

As per the file description I have created a custom container that is separate to hold the parts.

Im making a snap on lid for mine as well so its all in one piece. There are actually too many pieces, maybe spares. Mathematically theres only a need for either shape to occupy half of the spaces and in official tic tac toe "X" always goes first, so there should be 41 small Xs, 40 small Os, 5 large Xs, and 4 large Os for a complete set.

Printed great scaled down to 70%. Very fun to play. I like how it only needs 2 color changes for the board. I also printed the container for them. It's good but it would've been better if it had separate compartments for the small pieces and large pieces. One minor annoyance is that the pieces are a bit smaller than the spaces they go into, making them a bit loose. But other than that, it's great.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Yes I know the pieces are loose but they were designed that way to make it easier to put them in and out. You can probably just resize them for your desired fit.

Is it normal for it to be doing this "random" infill on layer 21 it started doing one side in the left corner then it went up and started on the other side making a shape then it started filling randomly in the middle towards the upper right side some small squares also not filled I will wait to see how it turns out and return with news hehehe

Starting layer 22, layer 21 had these flaws. During an infill pass, it left a section of the layer raised, I had to cut it with very fine pliers to avoid that volume and ruining the print. I really don't know if it's the settings or my printer. I'll return with more updates until the final print

printed nicely, unfortunately forgot about pausing at 32 and 52 as recd in another comment for the white accent. Also recommend printing the carrier, need to shove the smaller ones to the side for the bigger ones to fit but clean overall.
