Description
Updated 2024-09-26:
I have made some minor adjustments to make it less sticky when closing the lid.
I actually made a version that can be screwed, but the space was too small, and the details were not in place yet. I will test it first, and if it is successful, I will publish it.
I will make a battery-powered version if I have time.
Original:
It is really expensive to buy a lamp, so I thought I would make one myself. An LED lamp board costs about 50 cents, and a USB power cable costs about 1.1 yuan (you can also choose one with a switch, the price difference is not big). Even with the printing and welding costs, the total cost of making such an LED lamp finished product is less than 2 yuan (less than one-tenth of the official cost).
The tools needed are only soldering (very simple soldering, the kind that even beginners can do by feel) and suitable glue. I used 502 glue, and the effect has been very good.
I have already used this lamp to make many lamp-related toys, and there have been no problems. The durability is also excellent. One lamp has been on for more than ten days, and both PLA and PETG materials can withstand the temperature of the lamp board.
