Description
This is a Remix of a Toolhead LED mod that MicMac posted.
The Original creator wired things so that if the part cooling fan ever died you'd have to redo a bunch of this mod and I wanted to maximize repairability.
My wiring method meant more wires and more weight so I get why the OP did it his way. With these additional wires I wanted to use the printed part to keep them tidy as possible in the toolhead. So I modified the housing to add wire clips on both sides and the top. I also added a tiny wire retainer near the fan duct to keep those wires from working out over time.
You'll need;
-Soldering Iron
-Solder
-Heatshrink, Electrical Tape or similar insulator
-Bambu X1C Toolhead Front Housing Assembly
-24v to 5v Buck Converter

-Wires and 1.25 Molex/JST Connectors

All said and done you should be under about $60 if you have a Soldering Iron already. Which makes these probably some of the most expensive LED kit you're likely to install.
I'd love to partner with someone who knows how to create Gerber files and make a PCB kit to make this a ‘no cut/no solder’ mod. So please HMU if that sounds like you.
