Description
Better than Tic-Tac-Toe!!!
This is my rendition of the classic game Nine Men’s Morris recently seen on creator Jeong Jong-yeon’s Reality TV show The Devil’s Plan, 2023 on Netflix, www.netflix.com.
I originally posted this on cults3d.com early in 2024 and finally got around to publishing it here.
3D file Nine Men’s Morris ♟ ・3D printing template to download・Cults (cults3d.com)
The board is setup to print in 2 colors but can be printed in one color if you want to draw the grid lines on.
I chose black and green, because I am strange I suppose lol.
This file contains 2 board and piece designs. One set has concave detents for the pieces on the board, and convex bottom pieces. The other set has a flat board and flat bottom pieces, though I guess you could use the convex bottom pieces upside down if you want.
Rules:
The board is made up of a grid with 24 intersections, or points. Each player has 9 pieces usually colored black and white. Players try to form ‘mills’ which are three of their own men in a line horizontally or vertically. When a player forms a mill, they can remove one of their opponents' men from the game. Winning is accomplished by reducing your opponent to 2 men, because they won’t be able to form a mill and remove the other players pieces or by leaving them without a legal move.
The game has 3 phases:
1. Placing men on empty points.
2. Moving men to adjacent points.
3. Moving men to any vacant point when the player has only 3 men left.
