Description

This is a tip bung for LEKI ski poles. Specifically, these are used on the poles when skiing on artificial slopes such as Dendix matting. Most slopes require the use of tip bungs. It reduces damage to the underlay, as well as risk of the pole getting stuck and causing an injury.

I've used these for a year or so while racing as a Master. I also have a pair on my son's poles and some of the other club members have tested them out.

PLA was too brittle so my best results have been using TPU. TPU has lasted me a season of racing so far!

These are a tight fit - insert the pole tip into the bung, then either hammer the bung on, or bang the pole into the ground (choose a hard surface that's not easily damaged!). Be careful not to injure yourself with the tip or damage the ground.

Once fitted, secure with a wrap of duck tape, or possibly a zip tie, to reduce the chance of them slipping off.

These were designed to be an interference fit on LEKI poles. They may work on other poles. I've had success with my Scott WC Racers too.

Have fun!
