Description
This tool will tell you the exact center of a pipe when using the drill press.
For years I've been guesstimating the center of a pipe to drill a hole.
But it was always a tiny bit off.
Last week I was looking at Instagram and this tool came along.
This about 50 years old tool made it so easy to find the center so I wanted one straight away.
Searching the internet I could not find anything that resembled the tool so I made one myself.
I used the ABS with Glassfiber as it is a thin tool and will easily break when using PLA.
ABS without Glassfiber will also do great (I just wanted the extra strength)
As ABS will shrink a little you will have to drill the holes a bit (and you have a drill press otherwise you would not need this tool :-))
Make sure the pin snug fits the drill bit and the dial needs to go freely (0.5mm larger hole)
