UPDATE 24.4.2024: The new swatchv3.scad can now be used with the Parametric Model Maker from the MakerLab to customize the Swatches. You don't need to download any programs to do so. NOTE: Still make sure to use the recommended Settings when printing the Swatches with a 0.4mm nozzle, otherwise the text likely fails to print.
These are my custom labeled Filamentswatches. Use the swatchv3.scad file to make custom labeled swatches for every filament.
They are compatible with the Bambu Lab Filamentswatches and most accessoires for them.
Recommended Settings for 0.4mm nozzles (Based on the Standard 0.2mm layer Settings):
- Quality:
- Strength:
- Top shell layers → 5
- Bottom shell layers → 5
- Others:
- Brim type → Outer brim only
How to use:
For V3:
- Download the swatchv3.scad file under “Download STL”
- Open the Parametric Model Maker from the MakerLab (Click here).
- Load the swatchv3.scad file
- Customize the Swatch and click “Generate”
- Download the Swatch as a 3mf or STL
- NOTE: If you download the 3mf, please make sure to use the recommended Settings when printing the Swatches with a 0.4mm nozzle, otherwise the text likely fails to print.
For all Versions:
- Download one of the swatch.scad files under “Download STL” and install a SCAD editor with a Customizer, like OpenSCAD
- Open the .scad file with your editor/customizer
- When you open swatchv1.scad, OpenSCAD might take a while or crash because of the use of the minkowski() function.
- use the Customizer to label the Swatch
- If you can't see the Customizer in OpenSCAD, you can find it at the top under the “Window” tab.
- render your swatch and export it as .stl
The examples on the picture were printed on my P1P with various Filaments.
